Lead paint is in most homes built before 1978. If a home has lead paint, you should not sand the walls or trim.
Chemical strippers are available for paint removal. Any place that has old or deteriorating paint should be painted
over.
We do not do lead paint inspections. The equipment is expensive for the volume of business we would see.

Radon is an invisible, radioactive gas created from natural deposits of uranium in the soil. Radon gas can be drawn into a building and accumulate to concentrations that can cause a health concern.
Finding high levels of radon in the home has nothing to do with the age, quality, or upkeep of the home.
Surveys conducted by the Michigan Department of Public Health indicate that about 12% of the homes in Michigan are in excess of the US EPA's action level.
A radon system can be installed to reduce the radon. Average installation cost is $1,200.
We have radon machines that take hourly readings of the radon gases in the basement of the home. The machine
will take readings for 48 hours and average the reading. EPA guidelines are that the reading should be below 4.0.
We let you know the reading in the home.
Using the machine eliminates the need for retesting. This is because the test is 48 separate readings. The machines
also will let us know if they have been tampered with.Your can have results at the time of inspections, if we have
access to the home 48 hours prior to the inspection.
